The undergraduate program at ITCJ meets the requirements for earning a Licentiate in Theology.
Admissions
The application must be submitted to the ITCJ Dean’s Office by June 15 at the latest. The Faculty Council reviews the applications and decides on student admission. Application forms are available at the Institute’s office.
To be admitted to the undergraduate program:
a. Students must have completed at least 120 credits in philosophy. They must also be able to take courses and write academic papers in French. A knowledge of English sufficient to read university-level texts is also required. It is also recommended that students be able to read academic texts in English.
b. The application package must include: a copy of the birth certificate, photocopies of diplomas, photocopies of post-diploma transcripts, four passport-size photos, and a resume. Students from religious institutes or dioceses must also include a letter of recommendation from their superior or bishop.
To be admitted to the graduate program:
a. Applicants must include their Bachelor’s degree in Theology with their application;
b. They must have an overall grade point average equivalent to a B, i.e., an average of 12 out of 20;
c. The language requirements are those for the undergraduate program;
d. The application package must include: a copy of the birth certificate, photocopies of diplomas, four passport-size photos, a resume, transcripts from previous graduate studies, two letters of recommendation from academic figures, and a statement of purpose specifying the applicant’s research interests.
