What is Ecoforts?
The School of Theological and Spiritual Formation (ECOFORTS) is a program offered by the Institute of Theology of the Society of Jesus (ITCJ). At ECOFORTS, the faculty—most of whom are Jesuits—share their knowledge with students every Saturday in a spirit of openness, dialogue, and deepening understanding.
Purpose and Intended Audience
The ECOFORTS program is designed for all Christians who wish to deepen their Christian faith. Indeed, while faith is a gift from God, it is up to us to nurture and deepen it. Gaining a deeper understanding of the faith can help us live out what we believe more fully and believe more deeply in what we strive to live out. The School of Theological and Spiritual Formation (ECOFORTS) welcomes those who wish to take their faith seriously, to understand its scriptural and doctrinal foundations, and to better meet the demands of their lives.

Duration of the program and degree
The ECOFORTS training program spans one academic year, from October to June. Classes are held every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Institute of Theology of the Society of Jesus (ITCJ). At the end of the program, a certificate is awarded to those who have completed all the modules.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, the start date is set for Saturday, September 27, 2025. However, you can enroll at any time and make up any missed modules during the following academic year.
