It was an interdisciplinary seminar on the theme: \u201cHow to Live Together.\u201d In today\u2019s world, marked by conflicts of all kinds, the question of living together is particularly pressing.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">This interdisciplinary seminar brings together some twenty Jesuit professors to reflect on and discuss the challenges of living together in the current context of our African continent. The seminar\u2019s theme is explored from various perspectives: historical, philosophical, theological, biblical, moral, political, sociological, technological (AI), anthropological, and pedagogical.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\">Two ITCJ professors attended the meeting.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><ul><li dir=\"auto\"><strong>Dr. Jean-Paul Savi presented his research titled: \u201cThe Challenge of Living Together in Christian Mission.\u201d<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><div dir=\"auto\">Dr. Savi\u2019s presentation focuses on how living together has been a major challenge within the Christian mission. Following in the footsteps of Pope Francis, he advocates for a sense of history in order to become more attuned to the past. A sense of history helps us avoid the mistakes of the past.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs x126k92a\"><ul><li dir=\"auto\"><strong>Introduction to Dr. Some Augustin:  \u300aIsra\u00ebl consciousness of her extraneity: an interpretative key of her ethics of her hospitality \u300b<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">The guiding principle of our study was to understand the social and legal status of the foreigner in biblical law in light of Israel\u2019s awareness of its own foreignness, as a key to interpreting its ethic of hospitality and the integration of non-Israelites into its community. Indeed, the various texts on the integration of foreigners show, on the one hand, that Israel\u2019s contact with other nations is inevitable, though dangerous; and on the other hand, they suggest a shift in Israel\u2019s understanding of its relationship with God and with non-Israelites. This assertion is supported by the Lord\u2019s call to Israel to welcome any foreigner who comes to pray and to meet their needs as well (1 Kings 8:41\u201343).<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1383ed0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image-gallery\" data-id=\"1383ed0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\"
